Product Overview
When the Newport Contemporary Reception Desk was created, we wanted to build into it the emotional factor generated by finding something very different from what you might find in your competitor’s entryway. It is shaped in a semicircular fashion to create easy work flow, and features a visual dynamic that will impress the most critical visitor. The corduroy glass face adds to the visual impact by allowing light transfer while diffusing images behind. The 5"H brushed aluminum base and vertical supports separating the glass provide a protective element while adding visual harmony with the brushed metallic standoffs and the glass it suspends. Further, the smooth 12"D lacquer finish transaction top provides a contrasting component that brings it all together. The interior 24"D semicircular work surface follows the lines of the unique exterior format. This desk is available in any number of acrylic and/or tempered glass selections to help you control both design and budget. The work surface is available in any number of HPL choices, as is the transaction top with lacquer finishes.
The core structure is constructed from high-quality, domestic-grade wood, and finished with top-quality veneers. The work surface is designed with 1-1/8"-thick laminate and supported with 3mm PVC edge-banding. Each desk is available in sizes from 96" in diameter to the size that best fits your reception area. Each desk is also available with a return (optional, left or right) in 36", 42", 48", and 60" lengths (or custom). The Newport is available in many design selections; ask your design advisor for details.
Reception Desk as Shown
The Newport reception desk shown here is designed with a collection of high-quality corduroy tempered glass panels supported by stainless steel standoffs. The reception desk base is fashioned with a 5" brushed-metallic overlay. The glass panels are separated by sections of supports with matching metallic edges. The transaction top is crafted in two sections to complete a 108" diameter. The work surface is 24"D, and created to follow the lines of the station’s design.
